Extracurricular activities (Clubs) are part of the daily life of most children.
As research has shown, there is a direct relationship between participating in extracurricular activities and an improvement in self-perception. This is because they develop qualities that depend on the chosen activity. Therefore, each student should engage in the activity they enjoy the most, in order to benefit from its numerous benifts:
We offer extracurricular classes both during lunchtime and in the afternoon, after the school day.

Each year we carefully plan our bus routes, taking into account the needs of our students’ families.
Please consider our Bus service rules below, which must be understood and adhered to for our bus service to run smoothly.
Shackleton International School has its own kitchen. Our food provider, Colevisa, ensures that our students are served balanced, fresh and delicious meals with the best quality ingredients. Their pre-set menu is designed by paediatric nutritionists, who will ensure the dietary needs of our students are met. Our students with allergies and intolerances will enjoy safe special diets designed for them. For those whose religion or ideology leads them to abstain from eating meat, we have the Halal and No Pork options and the Vegetarian and Vegan options.
We have our in-house school psychologists. They help our students if they are struggling academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally by providing them with counselling, education, and mentoring. Addressing the mental health requirements of students enhances their academic performance and promotes crisis prevention and continued safety. They improve academic achievement, foster positive behaviour and mental health, support diverse learners, establish secure and positive school environments, fortify family-school partnerships, and enhance school-wide accountability and assessment.
Early Birds is a free service that the school provides for parents who need to drop their children off early. It is between 8:00 and 8:45 am. This way, we offer parents the flexibility they need when, for example, they have an appointment or have to get to work. Students are welcome to bring in board games, cards, books, colouring books, and any other item (e.g. soft toys for EYFS) or activity they can do during this time without disturbing the other students.
Shackleton International School is proud to work with Superfriends and Total English Teaching (TET). Superfriends International School is an English immersion preschool for 0-6-year-olds, where our Total English Teaching method is featured, and children receive German lessons as a second language every day. Total English Teaching (TET) is a teaching way designed for young children to be fully immersed in the English language and culture.
